Based in New York, Michael Franko leads the hedge fund Pangea Partners and delivers commodities trading advisor (CTA) solutions as a Paddock Court Trading managing member. Michael Franko and his team closely watch macroeconomic trends and select strategies that fit market conditions.
Mr. Franko has a background in his industry that extends to the early 1980s. He has gained experience with various departments of the Pritzker-owned Marmon Group. These included trading, physical traffic, and foreign exchange. Having earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science at Bucknell University, he pursued an MBA at Fordham University at night while working for the Marmon Group affiliate, Cerro Sales Corp, during the day.
Before establishing his firm, Mr. Franko spent 18 years with Willowbridge Associates as a commodity trading director. His sustained results made him a respected mentor in his field and earned him a spot on the Copper Advisory Board of the New York Commodity Exchange. A lifelong New York Jets fan, Michael Franko attends nearly all the NFL team home games and has a passion for golf.
